5 unusual and picturesque places everyone should visit

In anticipation of the holiday season, we have several options for you for their unusual format. And some of them are also suitable for just leisure.

The sea and the mountains are timeless classics, the value of which we do not encroach on. But our country is so rich in picturesque beauties that exploring it and getting to know it is a whole adventure and an indescribable pleasure.

Therefore, we have prepared for you a selection of 5 places for an interesting long leisure time or weekend.

Kachaniv Palace and Park Complex

1 Glinky St., Kachanivka village, Ichnyanskyi district, Chernihiv region.

The Kachanivka Reserve combines several parts that are of great value for history: park and architectural. Both are undoubtedly worth visiting. This reserve is currently the only one among Ukrainian estates that have been well preserved in the complex. The estate is located on the banks of the Smosh River, which allows you to admire not only the architecture in the backdrop of neoclassicism, but also picturesque landscapes.

The cultural flourishing of the estate is closely connected with the Tarnovsky family. They were the owners of "Kachanivka" for almost the entire 19th century - 70 years. During their life, the estate in a fairly short period of time gained fame as the epicenter of creativity and art not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. The Tarnovsky family provided financial and other support to scientists, artists, and cultural figures. They also helped in the implementation of scientific and cultural and artistic projects.

While in Kachanivka, many prominent artists of the 19th century found their inspiration here: M. Kostomarov, M. Maksimovich, M. Gogol, Marko Vovchok, D. Yavornytsky, I. Repin, M. Shchepkin.

Taras Shevchenko, while traveling through Ukraine in 1843, also visited Kachanivka, having previously sent one of his paintings here - "Catherine".

In 1836-1838, during his summer vacation, the artist Vasily Shternberg wrote his best works here.

Also in the summer of 1838, Mikhail Glinka worked in Kachanivka on one of the now famous operas, considered a world classic, now known as "Ruslan and Lyudmila." In total, the album with autographs of honored guests contains about 608 autographs.

Shatsky National Nature Park

Svityaz village, Shatsk district, Volyn region.

This park is known to almost every Ukrainian, so it needs no special introduction. What makes it unique is the number of lakes located on its territory - there are as many as 24 of them.

Incredibly beautiful landscapes are provided not only by the lakes, but also by the rich flora. There are about 795 species of plants in the park, 28 of which are listed in the Red Book. While admiring nature, you will be able to meet quite a few animals, there are over 300 species here. And some are also listed in the Red Book.

By the way, some travelers who are already well acquainted with the area recommend taking a bike tour if you have the opportunity and the mood for it. It's mostly flat, so traveling by bike should be comfortable.

Film studio in Nizhylovichi

Village of Nizhylovichi, Makariv district, Kyiv region.

This location has many local names. Among the most popular are “ghost town” and “Ukrainian Hollywood.” Both of them best convey the meaning of the town in the past and today.

The film studio was built in 2003 on the basis of a former collective farm. The scenery recreates the city of the late 19th - early 20th centuries. The scenery was built exactly at that time, recreating all the infrastructure of the past: shops, banks, workshops, houses, fountains. But you shouldn't expect anything interesting from them inside, because all the buildings are made of plywood.

The film studio has ceased operations after a fire in the main pavilion. If you plan to visit this location, bring water and food with you if you wish. There is absolutely nothing for sale on the territory.

Stone village

It is located near the village of Rudnya-Zamyslovytska, Olevskyi district, Zhytomyr region.

A geological reserve, which is a cluster of large boulders. The place is interesting because you can see not only large stones, feeling like a hero of a fairy tale, but also find very interesting and bizarre forms of stones formed by nature.

Such an unusual place could not do without local legends. According to one of them, once an old man in poor clothes passed through the village and asked for bread from a wealthy man, the owner of a rich farm. The man just waved him away and said that he had nothing to do with it. The old man turned out to be the Lord himself, who had come down to earth. Leaving the village, he turned around, and the settlement immediately turned to stone. According to legend, on one of the stones where he rested, a footprint of a bare foot remained.

By the way, at the entrance to the village you can find a map on which all unusual stones are marked, such as "Broken Bread", "God's Stone", "Pyramid Stone".

Nizhny Dniester National Nature Park

Village of Mayaki, Odessa district, Odesa region.

Another place that is definitely worth visiting. A unique example of the rich Ukrainian flora and fauna. More than 700 species of plants and more than 1000 species of animals have been registered in the park. One of these animals is one of the last natural populations of a rare mammal species in Ukraine - the European mink.

The labyrinths of the Dniester River and the largest colonies of stork-like birds will remain a vivid memory in your memory for a long time. In addition, the department of ecological education and recreation of this park has approved four ecological routes that will allow you to see the area in all its beauty.
