10 places in Ukraine covered in mysticism and mysteries

Every city, regardless of its size, has secrets in its history that are still unsolved and attract visitors with their mystery. Seeing them, touching them, becoming a living participant in history is a dream for many. And we have prepared for you a selection of such places that will make you excited and fill you with the desire to set off on a journey to solve the mysteries.

Pidhirtsi Castle

This castle is a palace-castle complex in Pidpirtsy. It is located on the edge of the Podilskyi Upland. It is part of the tourist "Golden Ring of Ukraine", which also includes Zlochevo, Olesk, Zhovkova and Svirzha. It was in this castle that such famous historical figures as Peter I and Honore de Balzac once stayed in ancient times.

Khortytsia, Black Stone

The legendary island, closely connected with the Cossacks throughout their life, contains almost the entire history of the development of Eastern European civilization. It is here, in these picturesque places, that archaeological finds were found that witnessed each of its stages. The truths of our ancestors are preserved here, which many people want to touch and understand: esotericists, parapsychologists, people with faith, etc. On the island are symbols of the pagan ancient faith, symbols of worship of the ancient gods who held power in Kievan Rus: Perun, Yarilo, Stribog, Radunitsa, Kupala, various demons, spirits of everything that surrounds us.

Gromovyshche

This is the name of a small clearing near the village of Kupishche, near the town of Korosten, in the Zhytomyr region. The clearing got its name due to its mysterious property of attracting lightning during a thunderstorm. As a result, more than one fatal case from lightning discharges has been registered in this area. Of course, scientists have their own hypothesis about what is happening. But this does not deprive the clearing of its mystical fame. According to local residents, the clearing sometimes begins to glow strangely, and a bright beam rises into the sky, as if a spotlight had been turned on somewhere underground.

Melitopol, stone grave

The Earth has places that contain traces of the life of different peoples, completely opposite to each other and having completely different history and origin. And what is interesting, such traces do not interfere with each other and exist in parallel. There are few such places, the more valuable the information they carry. One of them, about which we can say this with complete confidence, is the stone tomb, which we are talking about now. This place is also one of the oldest temple complexes that exist on earth. Different times gave shelter in these places to thousands of peoples, from the first people to the tribes that existed later: Cimmerians, Scythians, Amazons, Huns, Sarmatians, Goths, Khazars, Polovtsians, etc.

The Ghost of Chortkiv Castle

One version of the name of the castle is associated with the name of Jerzy Czartkowski. However, there are other opinions, for example, the Slavs associated the name of this city with the name of Chornobog, after whom the nearby Chorna Dolyna was also named. However, modern Chortkiv does not contain any clearly defined references to Satanists or pagans.

Saturdays. Three wells

Not far from the city of Cherkasy is the historical village of Subotiv. There is a famous church and three wells here. According to legend, they can help an unmarried girl find her soul mate. Legend has it that Bohdan Khmelnytsky ordered these three wells to be dug in memory of the Cossacks who fell in long battles.

Bald Mountain

This is the name of the area southeast of Vydubychi, located on the right bank of the Lybid River, shrouded in history and mysticism. You can reach Lysa Hora from Kyiv along Lysohirska and Zhigulyovska streets.

In ancient times in Kievan Rus, pagans performed rituals here. And it was here, according to legend, that Prince Volodymyr severely dealt with them so that they would not defile the land with their actions.

Castle in Uzhhorod

Somewhere in the middle of the last century, rumors spread through Uzhhorod that a lone ghost wandered the castle courtyard every moonlit night. The white figure of an unknown woman frightened the night watch more than once. Some of the guards nevertheless dared to approach the figure, and then they were horrified by the fact that the figure was transparent and weightless.

Fortress in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi

The structure was once built on the site of the ancient city of Tyre. Under the fortress itself, a whole network of underground tunnels and communications is supposedly laid. Maybe this, or maybe the location of the fortress itself, repeatedly causes interesting anomalous phenomena. Even during the war, local residents said that they had seen some unknown horned creatures. They came out of the fortress, from underground tunnels, and stole food and drink from local residents. They were called hell monsters. The guard of a store selling bread suffered from the attack of these unknown creatures.

Mount Demirdzhi, Crimea

Mysterious and mystical events also occur at the top of this mountain. On the mountain are chaotically scattered stones, shaped like fingers, and between these stones is the Valley of Ghosts. Here, tourists or members of expeditions can see incomprehensible and mystical pictures, visions and hallucinations.
