Something tasty for the New Year's table: simple and original recipes

Something tasty for the New Year's table: simple and original recipes

Preparations for the New Year are in full swing, and it's time for housewives to think about the New Year's menu and consider holiday treats.

While browsing recipes for the New Year's table, we came across a lot of advice regarding what the main symbol of 2020, the White Metal Rat, likes and dislikes.

So, the omnivorous and unpretentious Rat loves simple food: vegetables (except cabbage), meat, fish, fruits, sweets, cheeses (except cheese with a pungent odor).

The Rat will appreciate a large number of salads and snacks, especially if you add cheese and nuts to them.

The main rule is that food should be tasty, varied, and there should be a lot of it :)

It's up to you to follow the advice on the seasons that will please the symbol of the year.

We decided to simplify the task and selected recipes that we found interesting and, most importantly, easy to prepare.

Snack "Mouse"

Ingredients:

  • 180 g of processed cheese
  • 150 g hard cheese
  • 150 g crab sticks
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • radish
  • salt, pepper

Preparation: Boil the eggs, cool and peel. Grate the eggs and processed cheese on a fine grater. Grate the crab sticks (leave a few crab sticks for decoration). Send the grated crab sticks to the plate with the eggs and cheese. Squeeze the garlic through a garlic press. Add mayonnaise. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Grate the hard cheese. Form small balls from the cheese mass and roll them in grated hard cheese. Cut the radish into thin circles. Cut the red part of the crab stick into thin strips. Make a “rat” shape from the cheese mass (oval, with a pointed end on one side).
Make eyes and a nose from black pepper, ears from radishes, and a "tail" from a strip of crab stick. Decorate with herbs, radishes, and cheese slices.

Cheese Christmas trees

Ingredients:

  • saltine cracker
  • 200 g of low-fat cheese
  • sun-dried tomatoes
  • walnuts
  • 15 ml cream
  • bunch of dill
  • candied fruit
  • parmesan

Preparation: beat the cheese with cream. Season with salt and pepper. Combine the cheese mixture with chopped nuts and sun-dried tomatoes. Next, you need to roll small balls from the resulting mass, and form cones - "Christmas trees" from them. Roll each cone in chopped dill and place on a cracker. Decorate with candied fruits and grated Parmesan - they not only play the role of decoration, but also perfectly complement the taste of the snack.

Festive terrine

  • 400 g each of minced turkey and chicken
  • paprika (green)
  • 200 g bacon
  • jar of olives
  • bulb
  • 100 g oatmeal (fine, add to the minced meat)
  • seasonings: cumin, paprika, oregano, black pepper, salt

Preparation: Add chopped onion and garlic to the minced meat. Cut the paprika into cubes, olives into slices. Line a cake pan with thinly sliced strips of bacon. Spread half of the minced meat, top with the vegetable filling, and top with the remaining minced meat. Bake for 1 hour.

Salad "Mice in cheese"

Ingredients:

  • 500 g boiled chicken fillet
  • 200 g hard cheese
  • 5 boiled chicken eggs
  • 4 boiled quail eggs
  • 300 g seedless grapes
  • mayonnaise

Preparation: Cut the meat and proteins into cubes. Grate the cheese and chop the walnuts. Mix all the ingredients and season with mayonnaise. Divide the mixture into two parts. Place one of them on a dish in an even layer. Top with grapes, cover it and the sides with the second part of the mixture. Grate the egg yolks on a fine grater and sprinkle the salad on all sides. All that remains is to decorate it with egg "rats". The ears and tail can be made from cheese or boiled sausage, the nose and eyes - from clove buds or olives.

Mackerel with vegetables

Ingredients:

  • mackerel
  • 400 g potatoes
  • 70 g carrots
  • 100 g hard cheese
  • mayonnaise
  • vegetable oil, spices - to taste

Preparation: Cut potatoes and carrots into thin slices. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and add vegetables. Fry them lightly over high heat until lightly browned. Clean the insides of the mackerel, rinse and dry. Evenly spread the vegetables on the foil, and place the mackerel on top. It should be greased with spices beforehand. Grate the cheese. Place some in the belly of the fish. Sprinkle the vegetables with the rest of the cheese. Pour mayonnaise over the fish, as well as the vegetable pillow. Wrap in foil and place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake the first 25 minutes covered, the second 25 minutes in foil with the top open.

Happy and delicious New Year!
