8 quick snacks for the New Year's table

There are only a few days left until the New Year.

And everyone has thought about what to treat their guests and family at least once.

We have prepared for you a selection of simple snack recipes that will decorate the table, please everyone, and most importantly, won't burden you.

 

Crab stick rolls

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Servings: 10

 

Ingredients:

Crab sticks – 200 g

Egg – 3 pcs.

Hard cheese – 100 g

Garlic – 2-3 cloves

Dill – 1 tbsp. spoon

Salt, pepper, mayonnaise – to taste

 

Preparation:

1. Prepare all the ingredients, boiling the eggs in advance and defrosting the sticks if necessary.

2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

3. Grate the whites on a large grater, and the yolks and cheese on a small grater.

4. Mix the egg whites and cheese, add the garlic and spices passed through a press - the filling is ready.

5. Carefully unfold the crab sticks, trying not to tear them. If they are not completely thawed, microwave them for 5-10 seconds. After that, you can spread the filling on them, leaving 1.5-2 cm from the edge.

6. Roll them into a tube and dip them where the filling is visible first in mayonnaise, and then in grated egg yolk. You can also spread mayonnaise on top and sprinkle with egg yolk.

You can serve it immediately, but it is better to let the appetizer cool for a few hours.

 

Stuffed herring

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Servings: 3-4

 

Ingredients:

Lightly salted herring large – 1 pc.

Egg – 1 pc.

Carrots – 0.5 pcs.

Canned peas – 2 tablespoons

Mustard – 1 tsp.

Instant gelatin – 1 tsp.

Water – 40 ml

Mayonnaise – 1-2 tablespoons

Salt, pepper – to taste

 

Preparation:

You can use any products as "minced meat", take what you like best. To make the dish hold its shape well, you need to add gelatin.

1. Prepare the products:

– Separate the herring fillet from the bones.

– Finely dice the egg and carrot.

– Pour hot water over the gelatin and mix well until completely dissolved.

2. Place the fillet on cling film and brush well with gelatin using a silicone brush.

3. Add the remaining gelatin to the mayonnaise and mix.

4. Add carrots, egg, peas, mustard, spices to taste to the mayonnaise and mix thoroughly.

5. Spread the filling on one part of the fillet and cover with the other. It is better to cover so that the upper part is on top of the lower part. This way the filling will be distributed evenly.

6. Wrap tightly with cling film and refrigerate until serving.

In about an hour, the appetizer will be ready.

 

Ham roll with cheese and garlic

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Servings: 4

 

Ingredients:

Ham – 240 gr

Green onion – 15 g

Hard cheese – 200 g

Egg – 2 pcs.

Garlic – 2 cloves

Mayonnaise – 3 tablespoons

Lettuce leaves – 20 g

 

Preparation:

1. Finely chop the eggs with a knife, grate the cheese on a large grater, and pass the garlic through a press.

2. Mix all ingredients thoroughly, adding mayonnaise and spices to taste.

3. Place the filling on a slice of ham, roll it into a tube and tie with an onion.

4. Decorate the plate on which you will serve the rolls with lettuce leaves and place the rolls on it.

 

Canapes with kiwi and herring

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Servings: 6

 

Ingredients:

Black bread – 6 g

Herring – 200 g

Kiwi – 1 pc.

Cream cheese – 60 g

Mint – to taste

 

Preparation:

1. Cut all the ingredients into small pieces, literally so that you can take one bite.

2. Spread the bread with cream cheese and place herring, kiwi, and mint leaves on it.

3. You can secure everything with skewers or toothpicks.

It's better to take kiwi slightly unripe so that you can feel the sourness.

 

Canapes on crackers with salmon

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Servings: 12

 

Ingredients:

Crackers – 50 g

Cream cheese – 150 g

Salmon – 250 g

Dill – to taste

 

Preparation:

1. Mix cream cheese with finely chopped dill, spread on crackers.

2. Place a slice of salmon wrapped in a tube on top.

 

Canapes with shrimp

We have prepared 3 versions of this dish for you.

So you can prepare a whole assortment or choose what you like best.

For each of the options, you will need shrimp. Usually, they are sold ready-made and you only need to defrost them.

Before cooking, they must be peeled and tails removed.

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

Shrimps – 500 g

Cucumbers – 1 pc.

Sauce – 100 g

Greens – to taste

Crackers – 50 g

Cream cheese – 200 g

Cherry tomatoes – 10 pcs

Bread – 100 g

 

No. 1 Shrimp + fresh cucumber

Preparation:

1. Cut the cucumber into rings.

2. Pour the sauce over it (you can take a ready-made one with herbs and cucumbers, or you can make it yourself by mixing mayonnaise, chopped herbs and lemon juice).

3. Place the shrimp on top of the sauce.

 

No. 2 Shrimp + cracker

Preparation:

1. Use a saltine cracker as a base.

2. Spread with cream cheese.

3. Sprinkle with chopped fresh dill and add shrimp.

 

No. 3 Shrimp + bread

Preparation:

1. You can use any bread you like: baguette, bran, for toast.

2. Spread the bread with cream cheese.

3. Cut the tomato in half, also put cheese between the halves.

4. Place the shrimp on top of the tomato and secure with a skewer.
